Do you ever have days where you feel one step behind everything that’s happening?

Yesterday afternoon was like that for me.

My goal was to help out at IMPACT in Greenville last night and I was pretty pumped. Howard and Catherine have got it going on over there and I was ready to lend a hand.

Well, things didn’t exactly turn out the way I had planned. I’ll spare you the details and suffice to say that I had a series of ‘that did not just happen’ moments. It was actually quite comical in the grand scheme of things. But the events left me frazzled, slightly stressed, behind schedule, and at exit 60 on I-85 (yes, I missed the turn onto 385).

After finding out that I didn’t have a specific responsibility at IMPACT, I decided the best course of action was to #1. take a deep breath and #2 go get some coffee. Conveniently, Starbucks was just around the corner at exit 54. Not a bad ending, right? Right.

The real point of this post is to share my experience at the bucks.

I’ll pick up there tomorrow…

A cliff hanger episode. I love it.

The first three weeks of March were like that for me. It got better. I hope I did not pass it on to you.

I don’t want to add to your woes, but today Gina and I went to McCormick SC to adopt two puppies that were abandoned in a culvert at five weeks…I know, don’t get me started about the person who would do that….anyway, to get to McCormick from here, you go through Greenwood.
Did you know that there is a Starbucks in Greenwood??? That is not a slam against Greenwood, it is actually a pretty cool town with an obvious effort to restore ‘Main Street USA’, but if there is a Starbucks in Greenwood, why not is dear ol’ Anderson????
I personally think it would be a great idea if you and two or three of your closest friends went together to come up with the one or two million dollars it must take to buy a Starbucks franchise for Anderson. I promise to buy one cup of Sumatra (Venti, of course) every time I pass by your Anderson Starbucks franchise….
We missed your smile at the Gvlle Campus last night, but you know Catherine and Howard had it covered. It was a great turnout and a promising sign for what I know is going to significantly change the landscape of the Upstate.
Sorry you had one of those days, but hey, it makes good days (like hopefully today was) special.

I had one of those days yesterday and today. I have being trying to remodel a bathroom in my rental and I thought I could do it all by myself. I had help lined up but they never showed up and I was stuck with two kids trying to fit a shower liner in my car. Needless to say now I am a day behind and realized I was in over my head. Now God provide me with a way out and the job still got done.
